Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of UI Architecture, you will be responsible for writing functional PHP, HTML and JavaScript for a set of online social games. You will be provided with training, support and mentoring but are expected to learn quickly and be able to operate independently.

Solid knowledge of standards-based, cross-browser web development |
Desirable Skills:

Experience with Subversion or other version control systems. |

Knowledge of UNIX tools (ssh, vi, grep) |
All candidates will be asked to participate in a programming challenge where you will have the opportunity to show off your JavaScript and PHP skills. This is a contract position with the possibility of converting to a full-time role. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. The number of hours per week are flexible however a minimum commitment of 20hr/wk is required. We are currently unable to sponsor candidates who are not permanent residents or citizens. Also due to the nature of the work where collaborating closely with designers and engineers is essential, you must be able to be onsite (Union Square in San Francisco) during normal business hours.

Reporting to the VP of UI Architecture and working closely with Producers and Designers, you will be responsible for generating functional HTML, CSS and graphical assets from Photoshop mockups. You will be provided with training, support and mentoring but are expected to learn quickly and be able to operate independently.

Experience with hand-coding XHTML, CSS and JavaScript |

Desirable Skills:

Experience with client-side performance optimization techniques, especially using YSlow or Google Page Speed |

Experience developing rich client interfaces using AJAX, drag and drop and other DOM scripting techniques |

Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, Mootools, Dojo |

Good eye for design |
